Hey there! I’m
Apollo Grzyb, the fledgling industrial design student that put the shapes of the Talar together as part of a design sprint challenge. My vision was to create an all-round creative canvas for kids and grown-ups alike. I’m just as excited for you to use it as I was when I first unboxed it and held my design in my own hands at MOYU’s office :)
Why is it called
Talar? The circle is the first thing you see and that’s the element it gets its name from.
Talar in Polish is an old, historical word referring to a large, typically silver coin, and reminds me of the well-known Polish crackers by the name of
talarki, my childhood favorite. MOYU + Talar together almost sound like the word “modular,” which is another quality reflected by the Talar - its boundless possibilities for different use cases!
I would love to see how to use your Talar! Take a photo and share it in the Talar community below!
