Your role
Your responsibility is straightforward: get more MOYU notebooks onto more shelves, and make sure the ones already on shelves actually sell.
The paper industry is the 3rd industrial polluter, responsible for 17% of all deforestation. Stone paper is one of the rare real alternatives. But here's the catch: a notebook that sits unseen on a bookstore shelf saves exactly zero trees.
About 100 of the 400 Bruna stores in the Netherlands already stock MOYU. In stores where the manager cares, our notebooks fly. In stores where they don't, the notebooks collect dust. That gap is the whole game.
This is where you come in as our Retail Intern. You'll walk the stores, win over the managers, fix the displays, and figure out what actually turns a shelf into sales. Once we crack the Bruna playbook, you'll help us roll it out to Libris, other Dutch chains, and eventually stores in other European countries.

Your day-to-day
- You'll visit bookstores to see how MOYU is being presented and how it's actually selling
- You'll build relationships with store managers and staff to turn neutral shelves into active sellers
- You'll design and test in-store displays, training moments, and point-of-sale tweaks that lift sell-through
- You'll scout new retail partners (Libris, independents, chains abroad) and help open the door
- You'll bring the field intel back to the team so we can spot what works and double down
Your superpowers
- Strong communication skills in Dutch and English (Dutch is non-negotiable, you'll be talking to Dutch store managers all day)
- You're comfortable walking into a store and starting a conversation
- You notice what's working and what isn't, and you can't help wanting to fix it
- You think like a merchandiser: display, placement, and storytelling on a shelf
- Do first, ask for forgiveness later type
- Bonus if you've worked in retail before or geek out over how stores actually make money
